Hi, I am a Palestinian citizen living in Israel. I am a second year JSD student at the Law department at Cornell. I research the laws of armed conflict and international human rights law. Before coming to Cornell, I studied at Tel-Aviv university. I also worked as a lawyer for two years in the field of litigation and hi-tech transactions. Besides doing law, I have been doing powerlifting for 7 years. However, I barely do cardio and that is not good. When I am not studying, I convince myself that I should be studying, and if that doesn’t work, I watch movies. My top 3 all-time favorite movies are Taste of Cherries, Rear Window, and Spiderman. I find Spiderman very inspiring. I like to read non-law non-fiction books as well, mostly on politics and philosophy.  Sometimes I read horror fiction stories. My future plans involve is working in the academia. `
