I am a PhD candidate in Social and Personality Psychology and Cognitive Science at Cornell University. My research is focused on understanding social interaction dynamics and the cognitive and affective processes that underlie them. Specifically, I study (1) the automatic and deliberate ways emotions are regulated, (2) what makes someone a good conversationalist, and (3) the consequences of benefiting from the exclusion of another person (e.g., what happens when someone is invited to a party, but their friend is not?).

I started my college career at Mt. San Antonio College, my local community college. After earning Associate’s Degrees in psychology and political science, I transferred to the UC Berkeley, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

For fun, I enjoy going to concerts, watching movies, eating spicy food, and supporting the California Golden Bears and Cornell Big Red. I have a cat named Cucumber who lives with him in Becker!
