Talia is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication at Cornell University. Broadly, her research examines how emerging technologies are represented in media, popular culture, and policy. Previously, Talia was a fellow at the Consortium on Media Policy Studies and has assisted with research at the Center for Social Media & Politics at NYU, the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard, and Harvard's Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society.

Prior to grad school, Talia worked as a copywriter in creative advertising agencies in New York City. She loves discussing all things pop culture-- from theater, to TikTok trends, to sports. In her free time, she enjoys playing music and supporting Ithaca's local arts scene. Talia used to perform improv and stand up comedy in NYC.

Talia holds an M.A. in Art & Public Policy from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and a B.A. in Advertising & Media Studies from the University of Oregon.
