Sally is a member of the Inclusive Academic Advising team in CALS and in her former lives taught biology, science and english as a foreign language to many many students and student teachers in the UK, Australia and the US in addition to raised two fabulous young people with her husband Ian.

She was born near London, England and has had several opportunities to work and travel in Europe, Southeast Asia and Oceania – needless to say travel is something she enjoys along with walking, open water swimming, dogs, cycling and spending time with family. Interests include microbiomes, nutrition, and the impact of ultra-processed foods.

Biggest achievements are completing the Annapurna circuit – a 160 km trek in Nepal and helping to manage 10,000 merino sheep in Australia!

Fantasy dinner guests include Karie Lee Knoke, (from the show Alone), Tiny Tempah, Dolly Parton, Russell Howard, and Rory Stewart.

Favorite animals – tardigrades, favorite tree genus – Eucalyptus.
