Director of Health Professions Advising

Rachael Perry (she/her) is the Director of Health Professions Advising, where she leads a team of pre-health advisors and helps guide students through their journey to a diverse spectrum of health careers. Rachael let the efforts to establish the Health Professions Advising Center (HPAC) and under her leadership, HPAC offers a range of events, programs, and services tailored to pre-health students and alumni.

Rachael earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Keuka College, where she was also a two-time captain of the varsity women’s volleyball team, and a master’s degree in student affairs administration from Binghamton University. Before joining Cornell, Rachael served as the assistant dean for enrollment management and student affairs at the Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, overseeing the school’s recruitment and admissions process and serving as the chief student affairs officer. Rachael draws upon her work implementing holistic review at the School of Pharmacy and previous roles in pre-health advising to help guide students to their intended health profession. Rachael is passionate about student mentorship and was a professional mentor to the Binghamton University Scholar’s Program and serves as a professional advisor for the Weill-Ithaca Network and The Pre-Professional Health Association, two clubs here at Cornell.
Outside of work, Rachael hiking trying new food with her husband Ryan and their dog, Stanley.
